Please mark your calendars for the 5th Annual Diocesan Women’s Conference at Bishop McDevitt High School, Saturday, October 12, 2019. Keynoter is Helen Alvare---popular speaker, author, and Catholic personality. There will be 30+ workshops, Confession available, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Benediction, beautiful music, many vendors, good food, Mass celebrated by Bishop Gainer, and fellowship with up to 1,000 women. Registration information can be found in the Narthex or at www.hbgdiocese.org

In the Catholic Church the Mass is the center of the prayer life of the faith community through which the blessings and benefits of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross continue to flow for God’s people. It is a commendable thing to call on God’s beneficence for the expiation of sins through His gift of mercy and the healing effects of His grace for loved ones living and deceased and for special intentions we may have.

NEW POLICY FOR THE SCHEDULING OF MASSES

2020 Mass Intentions will be accepted at the Parish Office throughout the year and will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis beginning October 16, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. at the Parish Office.
Because of the large number of Mass Intentions that are requested, and to accommodate recently deceased individuals, plus to give the opportunity for all parishioners to schedule a Mass Intention for their loved ones, we must limit specific date requests to 5 Mass Intentions per year, per requestor (household), with no more than 2 Sunday Intentions per household. You may request as many Mass Intentions as you like, however, we cannot guarantee they all will be scheduled at St. Margaret Mary. The parish Mass schedule offers limited opportunities to fulfill the Mass requests. Intentions on record that are beyond a year’s time of the request will be forwarded to the Diocesan Missions Office or other priests who can celebrate the Masses in a timely fashion.

The diocesan recommended offering for the celebration of the Mass is $10. All checks should be made payable to St. Margaret Mary Church. There is no option to schedule a Mass Intention online at this time. Please stop by the parish office or call 717-233-3062.
